About the Breeder

My name is Christina Dietmann. I was born and grew up in Germany and moved to Devon/ England in 2006.
I have been around horses nearly all my life, started to ride at the age of 8 and bought my first horse, a Haflinger mare, when I started university aged 19. Since then the number of my horses has been growing constantly.
I first became involved with Miniature horses when I came to England in 2006 and fell in love with their friendly personality, their cute and elegant looks and their amazing performance in harness - having always been a fan of cart driving.
That they come in all colours of the rainbow was just the icing of the cake as I have always been mad about colours and colour genetics in horses.
And then in 2009 my biggest dream became reality: Aquamarine Miniature Stud, my very own stud, was born.
And why the name Aquamarine Miniatures? First, American Miniature Horses are like gemstones: small, beautiful, precious. Secondly the name Aquamarine means water and sea and as I live at the coast and always have been drawn to the sea, the name came quite natural. And last but not least it is the colour of Pearl's eyes.

Non-Miniature Family:

Frenzi (Haflinger mare)
Chirimoya de Southdown (Paso Fino filly)
Allegre (my shadow, a mongrel)
